Desserts combined with doubts and regrets don’t float my boat. I have a friend who told me a few years ago: go for it. If you’re going to be healthy, do it 100%, but when you splurge, do it right. Chocolate, champagne, the works. I’ll keep it simple though, today.
Eating desserts out can be a challenge when you’re gluten-free, unless you hit a specialty bakery. Luckily, a nearby favorite spot of mine, the Village Bakehouse, while not gluten-free, does offer a wonderful gluten and flour-free almond horn cookie, dipped in chocolate. It has the consistency of marzipan, and is just crunchy and doughy enough to satisfy any cake or sweet tooth. When paired with a creamy latte, it’s the perfect way to make a Sunday morning that much more wonderful.
